Did the writers behind Birds of Prey even know who Harley Quinn IS? THIS IS NOT THE WOMAN WHO PUTS THE "FUN" IN "FUNERAL", ALL RIGHT*?
(Also, Helena, honey? Did it never occur to you that your shrink is creepy and has boundary issues? Because I was really expecting her to start making out with you a few times.)
Now, I grant that the Bat Rogues Gallery** is short on women, but you know who would have been a better villain than boring-ed down Harley Quinn? Poison Ivy. Pammy would absolutely be able to play the behind the scenes manipulator. And we would not have to have techno-bullshitted her metahuman powers***.
Overall, I'd rather have had another season of Static Shock. Just sayin, WB.
*Though I will grant the actress has good "crazy eyes". She just isn't Harley-style cray-cray.
**At least some of whom are in Arkham. Even though the cops in New Gotham never heard of the goddamn Batman. Or metahumans. Even though Clayface is in Arkham because as a metahuman normal jail can't hold him. *headdesk*
***Though I did like the scene at No Man's Land where she was fucking with whatsisname. Though his whole, "You aren't meta," line was another reminder that the writers don't know the difference between a Marvel mutant and a DC metahuman, since metahumans crop up from all sorts of unsciency science.
