Knitters...

Does US3 needles for DK weight yarn seem a bit tight to anyone else? For a sweater, I mean. I ask because I have some socks knit in sport weight on size 3s and they have a drape approximating cardboard.

Of course, I could just knit a swatch and see, I suppose.

That definitely seems tight to me, and I knit pretty loosely.

Yeah, that's what I would use to knit socks in DK yarn. Makes a nice tight fabric that way. Seems like that would be pretty dense & inflexible for a sweater, though. What kind of fiber is it?

Huh, yeah, with the wool in it I'd think it'd still have a lot of body. Dang.
