dragovianknightI only got up two hours ago, but I spent those two hours wrestling a desk out of the Big Guy and up the stairs into my trailer, and then wrestling my old desk (really a card table) out of the way so the new desk could be put in position. And then wrestling the two filing cabinets I got (desk + filing cabinets = $20 total), which are each a good deal heavier than the desk, out of the big guy and over to the front of the shed, so I could spray paint them (they were quite scuffed, but otherwise in excellent condition) before putting them in the shed.
At some point in the middle of this, I sat down in the back of Big Guy with some 3x5 cards and made notes on the Indestructible verse. I started with things like, "Do I just ignore the whole KITT/Shadow and Michael Knight thing from Legion of Doom, or try to explain it?" and wound up with what I think counts as a Good ending for a verse that, frankly, did not seem capable of anything close to a Good ending. I mean, sure, I still need to work out the details of plots and scheming and backstabbing that led everyone to where they are, but characters I thought I'd have to sideline aren't, and I'm just...inordinately pleased by that fact.
(Which is not to say there aren't still bits of TKR and KR2008 canon that I won't handwave, much the way I ignore the KR2000 movie in its entirety, because the one thing I won't accept is KITT being destroyed/disassembled/used for parts.)
And now, I'm off to type my notes into 750 Words, while I can still decipher them. :P
