It should be noted that I genuinely love the original Clash of the Titans

(I have been a huge Harryhausen fan since the first time I saw Sinbad facing down an army of stop motion skeletons, and no amount of shiny shiny CGI is likely to change that. Though I do love me some shiny shiny CGI.)

Given the reviews it got, I didn't expect to like the Clash of the Titans remake. However, tonight I watched it, and while I have to say that the changes might actually have made the script make LESS sense than the original, I did enjoy it. (Despite the mocking of Circuit, Bubo, the adorable mechanical owl. Who was kind of my favorite character in the original.)

I kind of want to watch it again and make snarky comments, because that's how I express my love (as anyone who has watched a Power Rangers movie with me knows), but it's late and I'm tired. So I will leave you with two thoughts.

Medusa? Kind of disturbingly HOT, if you want to know the truth.

OMG PEGASUS PEGASUS FLYING HORSIE SQUEE DO WANT! (I need - NEED! - an icon of Perseus and Pegasus flying out of the eclipse. Because flying horsie! SQUEE!)

When Andromeda was strung up for the kraken, all I could think of was Sharktopus nomming the bungee jumper. (Which reminds me: Sharktopus is out on DVD and I do not yet own this wondrous thing. Must rectify.)

Okay, three thoughts.
