Damn it, "big announcements" are supposed to be GOOD things -__-

This in my email this morning:

Now for the big announcement. Good Judy will close its virtual doors on May 1st. Rest assured, all orders currently being processed and all orders purchased up until May 1st will be filled and sent out in the order they were received.

Now I have two days to decide whether to take the bottle plunge on things I was hoping to try as whiffs first. -__-

Yesterday, I poked a toe into fic_promptly's "forever" theme, with two prompts, one Beast Wars and the other Beast Machines. Yes, I know no good can come of that second promt; nothing good ever came out of Beast Machines. /snark

I am, I discovered, very out of practice coming up with ideas for things I'd like to see written, rather than things I'd like to write. Possibly because I long ago learned nobody wants to write the things I want to see.

Okay, now back to pouting.

Some days...

...technology is really not my friend.

It doesn't help that I'm trying to teach new tricks to a computer with no internet connection, which is making things that normally would be really really easy, really really not.

The reason tonight? Finding fic on my hard drive labeled only "kinkfest november 2008", and not knowing whether I wrote it (and if I wrote it, did I post it? Why didn't I name it, if so? Or put header information? Why isn't it in the fandom appropriate folder? I don't have these answers. If I did, I wouldn't be all *headgorilla* over it.)

I could have written it; it is Silverbolt/Blackarachnia. (Was my last flirtation with Beast Wars really two and a half years ago?) Or I could have prompted for it, and saved the fill (but normally, for other people's fic I put the author right in the file name). Either way, I have no memory of the damn thing to guide me. I'm not even sure which journaling service kinkfest is from.

Edit: And apparently, I did write it. It's the only fill I did over there with no comments, so I guess everyone else found it just as un-memorable as I did. :P
