I am now binge-watching Fringe, and honestly, I think even in 2009 the average person would respond to a screen-covering pop-up that said, "What's that noise? CLICK HERE!" with cursing and trying to close the window to run a virus scan, not...clicking and activating a program that would liquefy their brain with pictures.
I mean, at the very least I think they'd need the enticement of sex or money to get people to click. But perhaps I am giving the average human too much credit.
I don't remember this show being so boring, but I started in late season 2 and this episode is from season 1. I'm never going to get this sock finished if the show can't keep me from wandering off to do other things, though.
