Yesterday morning, I didn't quite make it through the McDonald's drive thru, with the result that the store truck wound up with a bit of a dent and several long streaks of red paint down his side. Oops. (He's BIG! Much bigger than Edea!) I was not in trouble or anything (the owner said not to worry about it, it's a work truck and dents "give character"; also, he knew EXACTLY which post I swiped, which makes me think he'd done the same thing, LOL), but, you know, Big Guy* has served me well while Edea's been down, and while I couldn't do anything about the dent, I certainly could spend the better part of two hours this morning with polishing compound and a cloth, getting the red streaks off. Which I did. Of course, now Big Guy has a shiny spot, so I suppose tomorrow I'll give the rest of him a proper bath.

Then I hacked away the giant man-eating weed that's grown up around my outside faucet, and moved pallets around until I discovered that, while they're exactly the same height as my bottom step, which is very convenient, they're just a smidge too tall for the shed door to open over them. -__- However, the ground where the walkway ends is rocky enough that it doesn't go to complete mud in the rain, so this is only a minor inconvenience. Probably. We'll see when it rains, I suppose. If worse comes to worst, I can put down some plywood to cover the final few feet.

Then I sorted my yarn so "projects I want to do in the near future" and discontinued yarns were in one box (I didn't stock up on as much of the kettle dyed Wool of the Andes as I had wanted *sadface*, but I do have about twice as much of the discontinued Shamrock colors as I thought, so \o/), and low priority projects (sooooocks; five million skeins of sock yarn!) and stash yarn are in the other. And I found the missing skeins for [personal profile] princess_kessie's meme project, so I can get that finished.

Now, I have laundry on, and I'm eating leftover Chinese food, nom nom nom. Velcro is trying to steal pieces off food off my chopsticks. :(

There will be knitting as soon as I'm alive again. *thud*

*Yes, I've given the store truck a name, which must mean I've grown attached. I still miss Edea, though.
