I'm more worried about how many authors will be scared away from writing anything even slightly more diverse because they just don't want to deal with the whole mess It's troubling how we've gone from calls for more diversity to people outright saying it isn't the place of white authors to tell the stories of PoC. It's like a segment of the internet really has decided to set up a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario.
