dragovianknightI may have spent this morning's 750 Words writing up a character sheet for my TKR team. Some characters don't have names yet.
Danielle "Dani" Parson (played by Deborah Pratt circa the mid 80s, until I find someone present day who can pull her off): Team leader, former spy. Calm, cool, and unflappable, Dani can chameleon herself to seem at home in any situation, and one of her biggest assets to FLAG and TKR is that she's not only comfortable at black tie events, she takes to them like a duck to water and can talk anyone over to her point of view. Dani's specialties in the field include infiltration and surveillance. She drives the team's Thunderbird, Starling.
Starling (STAR-1, voiced by Tress MacNeill): Star is a red Ford Thunderbird. If Dani is all calm dignity, Star is all irrepressible, wide eyed enthusiasm. (Think Gadget Hackwrench. On speed.) Star notices everything, and comments on everything. ("Breathe, Star." "Luckily, I don't need to!") Dani has, for the most part, learned to tune out the endless chatter, but she keeps enough of an ear open to know when Star has something important to tell her.
Elisabeth "Lisa" (last name dependent on the actress I find; actress TBD): A former LA Detective, Lisa is straightforward, not dumb. She can play a role if she needs to, but she'd much rather just take the direct route. She's Dani's second in command, and drives the team's "big truck", Armageddon. ("Sure, we can use your complicated infiltration plan with a dozen different ways for it to screw up. Or I can just drive through the wall.")
Armageddon (AGDN-1, voiced by Keith David): Armageddon, or Ged, is a gold Dodge 2500 diesel truck, and just as straightforward as his driver. He knows that if you point him at it, he can go through it, especially since he's outfitted with retractable armor plating that can cover his most vulnerable points. Ged is not, however, an aggressive vehicle; he has nothing to prove.
Mandy: (actress TBD) Mandy plays to being the sweet, innocent girl next door - if the girl next door likes blowing things up. If it can explode, Mandy can blow it up...and since she's a chemist in addition to being the team's demolition expert, if it /can't/ explode, she can probably still blow it up. She's also a regular MacGyver when it comes to gettign herself out of trouble. She drives Thunder, a blue Toyota Tundra.
Thunder: (TNDR-1, VA TBD) Thunder is as sweet and goofy as Mandy is, until the chips are down. You do not mess with her driver. Ever. And when the cute upbeat music coming from her speakers is replaced by metal? Run. run fast and don't look back.
Richard Hayashi (actor TBD): Richard is former Air Force, and while he has leadership skills, is comfortable in a chain of command, and knowing his place in it. He is a hell of a lot less comfortable in TKR, where the chain of command is less "loose" and more "chaotic". the team's communications expert, he'll follow orders or figure out what to do on his own, as the situation demands...but he often wonders what he was thinking when he left the air force. he drives a Jeep Wrangler that I have absolutely no clue about except that he'd be voiced by Jim Cummings.
Yes, if I were making this Armageddon would be played by my own truck. No, I don't have any shame. Yes, the casting of Deborah Pratt circa the 80s is a sign that I don't actually KNOW any present day actors, because I haven't watched TV in years except for a handful of things that are on DVD. Also, I may have had a crush on Deborah Pratt when she was in Airwolf. Anyhow, my lack of actor-knowledge means I am totally open to casting suggestions.
