I may be the only knitter in the world...

...Who not only is not upset to order a second skein of a color and get a different dye lot, but who squees with delight to realize that the new dye lot is substantially, visibly different from the old. (To be specific, months and months ago I ordered a skein of KnitPick's Imagination in Pirate King, with the thought of knitting socks from it. And then a couple of weeks ago, as I was placing an order, I said, "Self, while you can often get a pair of socks from one 50g skein of yarn, it is often close, and you may wind up with socks that haven't any toes. You should order more Pirate King." And so I ordered another skein, and yarn got here today, and the new skein has a lot more green and not so much black, and I like it much better. So now I am torn - torn! - between making mostly-matchy socks and using the second skein for the toes only, or making one sock from each and having gloriously mis-matched socks. And I am also having to resist the urge to buy more Pirate King in hopes of getting more of the mostly green not so much black version.)
