Hoops, hoops, and more hoops

I get that the Transformers Universe closed beta thing is really meant for players in their target demographic, and I'm pretty sure that target demographic does not include women who are old enough to remember a time before there WAS a transforming robot genre, but I'm still tired of "Here, jump through this hoop to apply! Okay, now we ignore you for three months." (Though, this time they let me enter a name, so...yay?)

I am starting to despair of the game actually launching before fandom drift hits and I find a new shiny to play in. I think I'm close to two years (based on the fact that TFP is two seasons old now), and I don't think even Dragon Quest VIII held me much past the two year mark.

Edit: In less frustrating news, I have yarn on the way. ♥ KnitPicks' shipping. Now, if I could just figure out a way to knit these socks with a differently colored front panel, that didn't involve knitting things flat and seaming, or attempting to anchor horrifically long floats across cables.

Oh, and the plastic safety eyes I ordered (because I dislike the felt eyes that come with the Morehouse Farm dragon scarf have shipped. Looks like I will be crafting my way through 2013. :3

Word on the Transformers Universe game nonsense. I don't know how narrow their target demographic is but evidently it doesn't include you or me (wouldn't run on my computer without an OS update). I HAVE updated now and I haven't even looked if I can still get into the beta.

Also, those socks look awesome.

Caught in developer hell, maybe? Sort of like the World of Darkness mmo, which I honestly don't expect to ever see. (And given that it's CCP doing it, I don't particularly want to see it.)
