laurashapiro linked to this Conan: The Musical video (warnings for: violence, bad hair, Ahnold), and I spent the rest of the day humming the "crush your enemies/see them driven before you/and hear the lamentations of the women" part.
This morning, I woke up wondering just what Xena would have to say about that philosophy. I figured it would involve her sword and the smile that reminds you she's really only thismuch saner than Callisto.
And then she would discover that Gabrielle had already given Conan a social justice lecture that reduced him to a gibbering pile of goo. (Possibly, Gabby took his kneecaps out with her staff first. Just to make sure he'd listen. Because she's practical like that.)
After, there would have to be a Stern Talking To about why it's kinder just to let Xena handle things with violence.
