darthneko and I have the first photographic evidence that our engagement rings exist (and are apparently in transit).

Behold:


Yes. We are geeks.

The rings were engraved by Lasercraft Design on Etsy, from a design created by darthneko out of meaningful-for-us symbols (yes, WoW players, that IS a Pandaren paw print, and our guild symbol to the left of it). It was a quick and easy process, the seller was a dream to deal with, and I cannot wait to have that ring on my finger.

Thank you. Being on opposite sides of the country, we've done most of our dating via WoW, so our Pandaren and our guild are definitely dear to our hearts.

Thank you. They essentially track our relationship by fandom (we met in Transformers fandom, I got her into World of Warcraft via the Pandaren, we dated while leveling our guild to 25. Geek romance.)

Thank you! We looked at all of the usual commercial stuff and both went, "Naahhhhh." Then Neko found this seller who could create a ring that actually MEANT something (and to hell with what the rest of the world things, these rings are more precious to US than diamonds or gold).
