Do I want this book? The Enchanted Sole; Legendary Socks for Adventurous Knitters (I mostly just want to knit the socks on the cover.)

Do I need this book? (The book in question is Vampire Knits: Projects to Keep You Knitting from Twilight to Dawn, for those who do not want to click the link.) On the one hand, vampires! On the other, they don't actually list what patterns are in the book. Twenty-eight capelets would be utterly useless to me no matter how vampiric they might be.

In other news, I just realized I did something stupid with [insanejournal.com profile] the_willow's hand warmers and will end up with two left mitts. So I guess my next project will be a pair of right mitts. At least this will give me an extra pair to sell in my artfire shop?

Bossman asked me for advice on an ebook reader for his son. Last year, J had brain surgery and still has some cognitive and vision issues; the vision issues make reading standard size text difficult for him. So, they're thinking of getting him a Kindle, so he can zoom the text size to something he can read more easily. They also need something easy to use, durable, and with a good array of books available.

So, my ebook reader owning peeps: Will a Kindle give them what they're looking for? Is there a MOAR AWZUM ebook reader I should point them at? I seek your guidance, because I'm permanently attached to my computer and read everything there.

Anyone have recs for an external hard drive that I can store my music on, and (most importantly) that is durable enough I can play my music from it without having to worry it'll go south in six months to a year? Because I haven't had much luck with using externals for that purpose, but my music is eating my C drive and I really need to put it somewhere.

(And by play I mean, iTunes comes on with the computer and doesn't stop until the computer goes off, unless I'm watching video, which would come from the same drive, so no rest then.)

So, since I know you guys know everything: I have started a "Cute and Upbeat" playlist. So far it has two songs, Stamp on the Ground by the Italo Brothers and Michael (Jump In) by No More Kings. What other songs should I consider adding to this playlist?

Edit: iTunes just shuffled from "Genie in a Bottle" to "Friend Like Me." *amused*
